Stray Kitten Finds The Perfect Family And Moves In With Them Without Asking!
Stray domestic animals may be a nuisance to some, but most people know that these animals have already gone through tough times and are only looking for food, water, and love. Instead of judging and punishing them for a life they did not choose, we should help them anyhow we can – either by adopting them, if that’s a possibility or by contacting local animal authorities to get help for them. This is a story of a tiny little stray kitten who landed on a couple’s patio while scavenging for some food.
Meet Marc and Beata, a lovely couple from Illinois who had no idea that a tiny stray kitten was about to adopt them and move into their house without even asking! It was in the summer of 2019 when the couple first spotted a black kitten run across their patio. The extremely shy kitten was drinking water from the bowl of water the couple had left on the patio but because he was scared of humans, he started running as soon as he spotted them. The couple then decided to leave some food out on the patio, along with a bowl of fresh water for the kitten to eat and drink, if he returned.
While trying to win the kitten’s trust by giving him the privacy he needed, the couple also kept an eye out for his mother or siblings, but to no avail. The next morning, the hungry kitten returned to the couple’s patio and began snacking on the food they had left the day before. But he was cautious and kept a close eye on the humans inside. It took him days to lower his guard down and begin trusting the couple who was feeding him. Apart from lounging on the patio, the kitten would often approach the couple, whenever they were outside, and beg for food, but when saw neighbors approaching he would quickly disappear into the bushes.
It took the kitten a few more days to understand that the couple was only trying to help and so, to repay their kindness, he adopted them and decided to move in with them by sneaking into their house whenever possible! As soon as it became clear what the kitten wanted, the couple made sure that he didn’t belong to anyone and welcomed him into their home and their hearts. But there was one tiny challenge laid out for them – to introduce the kitten, who they named Smucci, to their dog, Haruki. But before that, the happy couple took the kitten to the vet for a checkup and bought a cat carrier, some toys and a playpen for him.
With the help of the playpen, the couple introduced Smucci to Haruki and within a few weeks, they became good friends! The stray kitten who barely had enough to eat now has enough food to go around, a forever family, a caring dog brother, and tons of TLC! What more can a cat want?! What a happy ending to a sad beginning!
