Judgy Gold Digger Mocks Man At The Bar And Pays A Heavy Price For It
We’ve all heard and seen many stories of people judging others, and truth be told, we never learn and won’t stop from being judgy. Author Dee Dee Artner once said, “Judging is giving too much value on the surface and missing the value beneath,” and she’s right. Most of the time we’ll judge a person by their appearance and not bother to see what the person is like on the inside. Toxic people use this technique to spread toxicity, simply because they know how easy it is to manipulate people by being judgy.
Meet two friends, and roommates, Zuri Smith and Erin Doyle, both getting ready to go to their local pub. It was Friday night, and what better way to welcome the weekend than with music, drinks, and friends? Zuri and Erin may be good friends, but they’re poles apart. Zuri is all about appearance and style statement, while Erin prefers tone and purpose. Zuri wouldn’t be caught dead associating with people or places that aren’t up to her standard, but Erin, on the other hand, wouldn’t mind inviting a homeless over for lunch. Poles apart… and I still wonder how they’ve managed to remain friends! Either way, here’s what happened next.
On a Friday night, I persuaded my nerdy cousin Tedd to come to the pub with me so we could enjoy a few drinks and pause time for a bit. I’m glad I convinced him, but we weren’t prepared for what was about to happen. See, a couple of hours later, Zuri and Erin walked in, all dolled up and ready to party the night away. As the night wore on, Tedd decided to invite Erin for drinks at our table, and I agreed. As we approached the girls, I could hear Zuri smirking and mocking Tedd, who clearly wasn’t dressed to party. I was taken aback, but Tedd asked me to maintain my cool, and refrain from hurling any sort of response that could be considered rude or offensive.
When Tedd told Zuri that he was inviting only Erin for drinks, she became furious, and in a fit of rage, pulled her away and asked Tedd to leave. We could hear her being judgy, telling Erin about how “poor” Tedd looked and how she could end up paying for the drinks instead. As we turned to leave, Erin called out to Tedd and joined us for drinks, leaving a fuming Zuri behind. All we heard last was, “you’re going to regret it, Erin. Good luck paying for their drinks too.” Not too long after, we spotted a chatty Zuri enjoying VIP service with an unknown man dressed to kill. When she saw us, she raised her glass and smirked, as if secretly telling Erin that she lost a VIP service for accepting drinks with random nerdy strangers.
We were having so much fun together that we almost lost track of time (and Zuri, for that matter) until it was time to call it a day. I, Tedd, and Erin were walking towards the basement parking lot when we bumped into Zuri and her guy. I thought the matter had settled when she raised a glass of her VIP service wine at us, but Zuri wasn’t done – she had more dirt to throw at us. She excused herself and started walking towards us with a giant smile on her face. Instead of coming to us, she walked right past us, stopped at a Porsche parked behind us, and sat on the hood of the car. With a smirk on her face, Zuri claimed that she was sure the supercar belonged to the guy she was with and that she was sad Erin would never be able to ride with her because of the poor choices she made.
I could see that Erin was embarrassed about her friend’s behavior, however, instead of lashing out, she told Zuri that she was happy for her. But before they could converse any further, Adam, the bartender came out looking for the guy Zuri was with to tell him that his card was declined. Since he couldn’t complete payments, he requested Zuri to pay for the VIP service that amounted to over $500 after confessing that he lived paycheck to paycheck, leaving her enraged, humiliated, and confused. Turns out, the guy was only pretending to be rich and was sure his credit card wouldn’t be declined. He was sure that his fake act of being rich wouldn’t be caught, but unfortunately, it didn’t work out. Zuri couldn’t look Erin in the eye, but neither could she pay for the VIP service.
To make things more awkward, Tedd asked Adam to strike out the pending balance and consider the VIP service on the house, leaving Zuri and Erin confused. Maybe I should have mentioned it earlier, but Tedd owns the pub. The reason we didn’t mention it to the girls is because Tedd wanted to find someone who wouldn’t be judgy and accept him for what he was, not who he was. When the dust settled, Tedd asked Erin if he could drop her home, but before she could say anything, Zuri sneered at him, telling him that they’d rather get an Uber.
It was clear that Zuri’s ego was hurt, but instead of apologizing for her rude behavior, she was trying to “get back” at us. I could see that Tedd was frustrated, but being the gentleman he is, he politely asked Zuri to step aside so he could drop Erin home in his Porsche. Before leaving, Erin excused herself and gave her friend the hug she needed to heal, and whispered to her how it was high time she stops judging people. The look on Zuri’s face was unmissable, and the rest is history. But I guess, it worked out well for me because my cousin found the girl of his dreams, and I got to drive the car of my dreams!
